| Welcome to the Xchanges journal! |
|
Xchanges is an interdisciplinary Technical Communication, Writing/Rhetoric, and Writing Across the Curriculum journal, which publishes two issues annually from its home in the Technical Communication program at New Mexico Tech. In 2012, we will be switching the publication order of our journal issues so that our Fall issue will feature undergraduate research. The Winter 2013 issue, which will be released in March 2013, will feature graduate-student research. Our undergraduate issues feature the theses and research projects of upper-level undergraduate students and our graduate-student issues feature MA- and Ph.D.-level original research from emerging professionals in our focal fields. We receive submissions from students from a wide array of institutions across the country. Our faculty review board, comprised of TC, Comp/Rhet, and WAC faculty from throughout the U.S., reviews these submissions on a “blind” basis. We welcome undergraduate and graduate students in these disciplines to submit their work to Xchanges, either as traditional articles or as multi-modal “webtexts.” We hope you enjoy our current issue of Xchanges! This issue features four articles by undergraduate students representing a diverse collection of institutions. Use the navigation menu at left to peruse our current and past issues and the navigation menu at top to return “home” and to learn more about the journal in general. We welcome your feedback and we are looking forward to producing many more excellent issues of Xchanges from NMT in the future. Please enjoy the rigorous undergraduate and graduate-student research in the TC, Comp/Rhet, and WAC fields that we have published here in Xchanges and stay tuned for more innovative scholarship in future issues. Issue 8.2, our next undergraduate student issue, will be released in November, 2012. |
