Overview of Events:

Friday, February 28th – Registration beginning at 1 PM, optional afternoon tours of the Bosque del Apache, campus laboratories, SESSION I, Opening Reception, optional Calico Winds concert.

Saturday, March 1st – Registration beginning at 8:30 AM, Margaret Randall, SESSION II, lunch and Theatre of the Oppressed performance at the historic Garcia Opera House, SESSION III, SESSION IV, Closing Gathering.

Costs:

Registration (includes catered vegetarian lunch):

$40 – Regular
$15 – Student
$20 – Community member, not affiliated with a college or university

(Optional) Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge tour:

$4 – Includes transportation and tour guide

(Optional) Tickets to the Calico Winds concert:

Lodging:

Socorro is a small town, and most hotels are easily within a five-minute drive of campus. On-campus parking is free and ample. For a list of hotels and their phone numbers, please visit the Socorro Chamber of Commerce website. Three hotels frequently used by New Mexico Tech visitors are the Super 8, the Econo-Lodge, and the Holiday Inn Express.

Other important notes:

  • Presenters, including panelists, are asked to register by February 1st.
  • We will list available multimedia equipment (e.g. overhead projectors, Proxima projectors, etc.) on this website. If you are presenting and know now what equipment you will need, please let us know.
