It appears that there's a problem with the lpd on the new printing software. Unfortunately while the printing software on the old system hung less frequently it couldn't print some files. For now we will need to stay with the current version.
If a printer hangs simply issue the following commands
lpc stop <printer>lpc start <printer>This should clear the printer. If that doesn't clear it issue the commands and power cycle the printer (between the stop and start). If that doesn't work then file a ticket.
