1.2   Using sftp for file transfer

sftp is a secure method of ftp (file transfer protocol) used for transferring files from one machine to another. (This might prove useful for uploading files from your PC to your TCC public_html directory.) Normal ftp is considered non-secure since it transmits your password in plain text.

A free MS Windows sftp client is filezilla. (Make sure to adjust to the settings to use sftp.)
