I was told the TCC computers with scanners could only scan using Adobe Photoshop and that they had no text recognition software. Tonight I was shown by a friend that you could scan using Adobe Acrobat and that it could decode the text as well.
To scan: File -> Create PDF -> From Scanner
To convert to text: Document -> Paper Capture -> Start Paper Capture
Just so you all know, it is possible and seems to work quite well.
