11.3   New Workman projector (gotcha!)

OK, I installed the new ASK Proxima C410 projector in Workman 101 since the old DP9270 was broken. Here are some notes on it:

• The input Computer 1 is DVI so we can not plug the computer into it without a VGA to DVI adapter (and I am not sure if that would work).
• The USB air-mouse only works with Computer 2, and the PS/2 air-mouse only on Computer 3! As such, I plugged the computer into the Computer 3 input.
• The projector seems to auto detect which inputs have a signal. As such, if the computer is on and not in sleep mode, it will set itself to Computer 3 when you power it up without problem. However, when the computer changes the resolution (it does this a lot when rebooting) the projector looses the signal for about 0.5-seconds and will look for another signal. If the VCR is off it will not find anything until the computer video is back up. Then it will go back to showing the computer image. However, if the VCR is on the projector will switch to the VCR and not switch back until told to or the VCR is turned off. I am sure that someday someone will leave the VCR on when they are done. Then the next person will come in, power up the projector, and tell the computer to switch from linux to windows. When this happens the projector will switch to the VCR image.
