Be sure the PCM volume is not muted.
Please always check that the OS is not muting the sound before filing a
ticket on it. In Linux, you can use the programs
gnome-volume-control or alsa-mixer to control audio
levels.
(Also, don't forget the volume control knob on the KVM front panel!)
