8.28   ld.so Corruption

Question:
The following error comes up over and over again, when any commands are given:

     /lib/ld.so: cache '/etc/ld.so_cache' is corrupt

A df showed that the disk was full -- which probably resulted in an incomplete ld.so_cache -- so I checked /var/adm/messages and it was about 3Mb big so I:

• deleted it
• deleted /etc/ld.so_cache
• ran /sbin/ldconfig

Machines mussel, shark, and octopus were all fixed this way.
