8.27   X-windows fvwm won't start

Question:
From Neale Pickett on Wed, 13 Nov 1996
User egeria, who keeps using tweety for her CS121 lab, is still experiencing mouse lock-ups. She does not have this problem on any other machine in Workman 54. I think a few other users have had this problem as well, but we tell people not to use tweety for this reason so we don't have a really good sample base.

Is there a workaround?

Check if she is using FVWM. If she is, try starting X-win by typing mitx, try typing mitx >& /dev/null &. This works for me. I am still trying to figure out why.
