September 20, 2004--Maryjane Long, senior technical writer in the ITSC department of the Indian Health Service, was guest speaker at today's Pizza Party. Ms. Long is also the membership chair of the New Mexico Kachina Chapter of the STC. Dr. Julie Ford was pleased with the turnout and provided the following TC-related links that Ms. Long mentioned during her talk.

May 15, 2004 -- Kimberly Coleman received her BS in Technical Communication at New Mexico Tech's commencement exercises. Kim, past president of the Trinitite Chapter of STC, graduated with highest honors and was the recipient of the TC Alumni Scholastic Award, the Howard Sylvester Award, and the STC Achievement Award. She was also recognized for being a New Mexico Tech Scholar.
In the fall, Kim plans to attend New Mexico State University as a graduate student of professional communcation. She is pictured at left with STC club advisor Dr. Rick Mott. |

April 16, 2004 -- The club sponsored a tour of Starline Printing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Rachel Armstrong is pictured at left in front of a vintage Heidelberg press from the 1950s that was one of the many interesting pieces of equipment we saw at Starline Printing.
