At the meeting today we discussed future field trips, workshops, and
Exploration Day, as well as the possibility of attending a booth at 49ers.
Field Trip
There's been a lot of interest in going to a print plant
again. Please let me know if you are interested in this, or if you have
any other ideas.
Workshops
I am going to contact the editor of the Mountain Mail (who
is, reportedly, a whiz at Quark, PhotoShop, and publication management)
and see if he would be interested in hosting a workshop, or at least
meeting with us sometime. Is there anything in particular you would like
to attend a workshop on?
Exploration Day
This is on Saturday, November 6. It's when a bunch of
high school students interested in Tech come and wander around. It would
be a great opportunity to attract some to our program. If you're
interested in helping out for a bit contact Dr. Ford at jford@nmt.edu.
49ers
All of the booths at the 49ers carnival are called for, so we
won't be able to attend one this year.
The next meeting will be next Monday, October 25, at 11:15 in the TC
Lab/Dungeon. I hope to see you there. And, as always, please let me know
