Meeting Minutes -- March 1, 2004

Our next meeting will be Monday, March 22 at 4:00 pm in the TC lab.

We are going to order T-shirts as soon as we can. Rachel is going to talk to Edie Steinhoff about getting the Tech logo on the front with the Trinitite logo on the back. Susan is going to send the logo to Rachel, who will give the order to Ray Lee and ask about getting paper bag colored shirts instead of white. The following people have requested shirts:

  • Dr. Jernigan- 2 X-Large
  • Leo Gabaldon- 1 X- large
  • Lynne K.- 1 large
  • Rachel- 1 medium, 1 large
  • Kim C.- 1 medium
  • Jenny- 1 large, 1 X-large
  • Dr. Mott- 2 large

If any other people want shirts in a particular size, let us know right away. We will be ordering about 25 of them, so there will be a few extra.

We are having another movie night on March 24 at 7:00 pm in Jones Annex 101. Susan will bring the movie Ringu and adapt the first poster to advertise the movie. Rachel will put the movie in Paydirt. We would like to have shirts for sale at the movie night. We would also like to have a door prize, perhaps a t-shirt.

Rick Johnson-Sheehan will be coming this Friday, March 5. He will discuss the future of Tech Writing and the role of TC departments in technical universities. The discussion will be held in Library 212 at noon, and there will be free pizza. You may RSVP to me at harper@nmt.edu so we will be sure to have enough pizza. Rachel will put the meeting in Scope and Dr. Mott will put together a flyer. Kim and Lynn will hang the flyers.

Rachel will talk to Ray Lee about how to reserve a van for the print plant field trip. Lynn K. has a defensive driving license from Tech, so she volunteered to drive the van.

The TC corporate board is meeting on Friday April 2. Please leave your schedules open for that day to come and talk to the board.

Susan Delap would like to have a website workshop this Saturday at 11:00 am in MSEC 258 (use the front door of MSEC). Please come and help set up the website and contribute your ideas. Rachel will ask Ray Lee about the STC web account for hosting the site.

Those are all the minutes. Thank you for reading them all the way through.
Kim Coleman
