Dr. Lanier to Attend Chautauqua on CS Communication Pedagogy

Dr. Lanier of the Technical Communication Program will be attending a Chautauqua titled, "Teaching Communication Skills in the Software Engineering Curriculum: A Forum for Professionals and Educators," at Miami University June 9-11. The meeting was created to address the communication needs of computer science students. One of Dr. Lanier's research interests includes helping programmers achieve better internal documentation to increase long-term collaboration. This interest will be further pursued next fall, when he will be teaching an English 111 section that is designed to support CS majors and enhance their knowledge of both communication and programming.
