History:Mystery Medical Facility

The laboratory that Vanderhoffe was taken to was never mentioned or recorded in any books or maps, no plans or even acknowledgement of its existence.

Although extrememly clean on the inside, it is likely that the entire facility was located beneath the ground. This would make sense, given the fact that most of the doctors and staff were from both sides of the conflict, and had no real worry about their work. This would also account for the need of an entire facility, rather than a shanty tent, and the stale air that was being inhaled.

The nurses and assistants in the facility were from varying backgrounds, many looked Vietnamese, others looked Caucasian. This brings even more mystery to the existence of the lab. Both sides working together, perhaps in some sort of plot? There are only two likely explanations: forced enrollment, or voluntary assistance. There were no restrictions on the nurses or assistants, however, leading us to believe that they were voluntarily giving their time. But why would they do that?

When Vanderhoffe last remembered his location, he was located up the Bon Hai River, about 150 miles from Dong Ha. It is possible that this facility was part of an underground research ring, perhaps built by the French.

The only real thing that is known about the facility is that it had the technology to perform the DRA procedure on Vanderhoffe, and therefore was likely well funded and obviously very well equipped.
