Questions to Ask an Interviewer
- Can you tell me about your training program?
- What are the opportunities for advancement? The managerial potential?
- Can I progress at my own pace, or is advancement structured?
- What are some of the plans/projections for growth?
- Are company revenues in line with the organization's projections?
- Are there other Tech graduates with the organization?
- Do you have any future plans of merging?
- Have you added new departments/products recently?
- How much travel is involved in this position?
- What is a typical day like?
- How much input does a new person have in geographical location?
- How often are employees relocated?
- Is it possible to transfer from one division to another?
- What is the housing market like in the city? The cost of living?
- How often are performance evaluations given?
Be aware: Many of these questions can frequently be answered by reading the company's literature or looking at their web site. If that is the case, don't ask the question during the interview!
