Congratulations!
You have prepared carefully, paying close attention to detail, and have survived the pressure of the interviews, and now you've been offered a job. When you receive a job offer, you have three options:
- You can accept the offer, in which case you should stop interviewing immediately and also should notify other organizations who are considering your application.
- You can request time to consider. Organizations understand that you have applied to more than one place and may want to wait for additional responses. Be specific, however, about when you will make a decision.
- You can decline the offer.
Do you remember wondering, before you ever came to Tech, about what jobs Tech graduates get, and the salaries they are offered? Many prospective students...and their parents!...ask these questions, and the answers help us recruit new students and advise current students. We also are asked each year, by legislators, the Commission on Higher Education, and others, especially in state government, how many of our students get jobs, what the salaries average, and what proportion of our students stay in New Mexico after graduation.
We also subscribe to, and participate in, the National Association of Colleges & Employers' salary report.
Reporting job offers and acceptances is voluntary at Tech. Please download a Survey of Post-Graduation Plans. Return the completed form to Career Services, Wells 111. The information you provide is confidential and will not be reported in any way that reveals your identity...and you can do Tech and our prospective students a real favor by reporting your post-graduation plans
