NMT SPE Chapter - 49'ers

49'ers Gold Rush Golf Scramble

The NMT SPE student chapter hosts the annual golf tournament during New Mexico Tech's legendary 49'ers weekend celebration. The tournament is a scramble competition with 2-person teams. The cost is $49 per person to register. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are awarded.


There will also be two small competitions: closest to the pin and a putting contest, giving participants a chance to show their skill at driving. There are a lot of prizes to be given away, including: Trophies, a Titleist wedge, golf bags, etc.

  • Date: Friday, October 19th 2007
  • Time: 9:30 am (Shotgun Start)
  • Check in: 8 am
  • Champagne Brunch: 8 am - 9:15 am
  • Lunch: Throughout the day
  • Reception following the tournament.
  • Location: New Mexico Tech Golf Course, on Canyon Rd (west of the NMT campus)
  • Player registration deadline: Wednesday, Oct. 17th.
  • Sponsorship deadline: Friday, Oct. 5th.
