6.10. Unbanded encounter record

For birds that escaped or were unbanded for whatever reason, code them using a line of this format:


where “·” represents a space, and the rest of the record is as described in Section 6.13, “The encounter body section”. The two extra spaces are there so that the body section of unbanded lines will align vertically with new-band lines, allowing easier visual verification that the columns are all the correct length.
