On the MAWS data sheet only, there is a field of five columns in which to encode the color bands, if any.
A valid color-band field must contain from one to four
color codes, with the left-leg bands preceding and the
right-leg bands following a slash (“/”). Color codes must be one of:
S | Service (metal) band |
K | Black |
W | White |
R | Red |
G | Green |
Y | Yellow |
B | Blue |
O | Orange |
M | Mauve |
? | Can't tell, or can't read the banding sheet. |
