6.7. parseDate(): Parse external date

This function converts an external date in the form described in Section 4.1, “Specifying dates and times on command lines”. The date must not be followed by “T” and a time.

parseDate(s)

Argument s is the string to be converted. If successful, the function returns the date as a datetime.date instance. If the string is not a valid date, the function raises a SyntaxError exception.
