Shipman's games page

I've done a little roleplaying, and it can be great fun with the right crew, but mostly I like boardgames.

The boardgames I like the most by far are the Empire Builder ``crayon train games'' from Mayfair.

See the `Introduction to Mayfair's ``Empire Builder'' games' for a general introduction and my comments on strategy and tactics.

I have also developed some play-aids in PDF format for several of the different games in this system (not all of which are in print). These show the mix of contracts in the card set, sorted by various keys.
