Seafood restaurants in Albuquerque

After years in California, I'm very spoiled when it comes to fresh seafood. Still, I always crave it, and there are some places to go for good fish and seafood in Albuquerque.

• Viña del Mar, 5025 Central, north side of the street between Monroe and San Mateo. Excellent Mexican seafood, huge menu.
• Pappadeaux's***, on the I-25 frontage road just south of Jefferson. Very popular, expect a long seating delay, especially at peak hours. Portions huge, prices a bit high but not a bad value if you're hungry. Good assortment of fish, nicely prepared.
• Pelican's**, 9800 Montgomery. The atmosphere is better than the food. Not all that bad, just dominated by the other choices.
