The term “stylesheet” has two meanings in the context of this document.
XSLT stands for Extensible
Stylesheet Language Transformations, which is the language
used in the various
.xsl files in
this document. In this sense, an XSLT script is a program
that transforms an XML file into some other form.
docbook5.css, shown below, uses CSS Level 2, the
Cascading Style Sheets standard, to style the appearance or
branding of HTML pages that come out of this DocBook toolchain.
See Styling Web pages with CSS-2.
Here is the
docbook5.css file. It starts with a header that
points back at this documentation. In CSS, comments are
enclosed within “
/* ... */”
/* CSS stylesheet for DocBook 5.0 * * Do not edit this file. It is extracted automatically from the * documentation here: * http://www.nmt.edu/~shipman/doc/doc5style/ */
