In Melrose Woods, the experts were sure there was at least one Blue-headed Vireo and two Cassin's Vireos. Because I'm still unsure about the distinctions, I've numbered all the “Solitary” vireos as “Individual #N”, such that each number refers to a set of photos of a specific individual. Any suggestions about whether I've called them correctly would be much appreciated!

Where the road to Rattlesnake Springs crosses the Black River, observed at close range a group of six Javelina including two small young. Also, where the Seasonal Road at Bosque del Apache turns from northbound to eastbound, got a good close look at a healthy-looking adult Bobcat at about a 20-yard range for about four seconds. This is only the second Bobcat I've ever seen in the wild; the first was at Point Reyes many many years ago.

Description: I tried very hard to make these birds into Sanderlings due to their nearly monochrome coloration, but their bills were too long and droopy, and closer inspection of the photos revealed rusty colors on the back. Also, they were wading, while I generally see Sanderlings keeping their feet mostly dry.
