I carefully scoped the whole pond three times. No Clark's today.

In the “display pond” quite close to a line of parked cars taking pictures.
Behavior: All three hunting actively in the tall vegetation near the road. Note the grasshopper in the beak of one in the photo.

Description: Preening revealed white underfeathering at the throat.
Vocalizations: One was repeating a sequence 'oh^{2-3} ah', with that gurgled quality I've often heard.

On my sunflower tube feeder.
Description: Definitely not a Great-tailed. Smaller size, bluish iridescence on head, bronzy iridescence on body.
Late. I have never seen a Great-tail in my yard, but often seen Commons during migration. Chris Rustay reported one in Jal this weekend.
