Description: Front half of the bird mainly gray, a little lighter than middle gray, maybe a couple of shades lighter than the color depicted in the Sibley guide. Yellow cap, white superciliary line, a broader white line parallel to that line below the eye, one yellow wingbar. Eric and I were able to study it at around 10-15 yards range for at least a minute.
Behavior: Crawling through the trees on the south side of the clearing, about 8' from the ground.
Time 0930. A lifer for me!
