Irony of ironies: after several fruitless years of chasing this species to the far ends of the state (San Simeon Cienega and various locations around Clovis), I was chatting with my neighbor Philip Johnson in my own backyard and watching a line of four Inca Doves sitting on a wire, when Philip's eyes narrowed, and he pointed at this bird that was sitting a bit apart. This was my first record for the state. See 1989-11-15 for photos.
