I'm astounded at how poor the images with the Nikon are compared to those of the Canon. If Nikon still made cameras that could live up to the quality of the Coolpix 9xx series then I'm sure these problems wouldn't exist. Even the venerable Coolpix 950, with its 3MP sensor) is still a vastly suerior camera to what Nikon currently offers in the non-DSLR market.
