Event Grant Application

The purpose of event grants

The event grant fund was created so that there would be an easy, fast way for students and student organizations to request money for events. These can be used to expand a dorm event to include the entire campus, buy food for club events (but not meetings), or buy other supplies or items needed to throw a campus event.

Stipulations

Your event must be advertised campus wide and allow the admittance of any student according to the student rights expressed in the SA Constitution.

Monetary Limits

You can request a maximum of $300. Your Event Grant Application will either be granted as is or denied entirely, so do not try to over budget! There are two seperate pools of money, one for requests of $100 or less, and one for requests over $100. In other words, many more small requests will be granted than larger ones. Amounts larger than $300 must be requested in the form of a Senate bill.

What you can request

Anything the SA can legally buy. Anything bought with these funds is the property of the SA. Permanent items purchased (such as a DVD, a water hose, etc.) must be returned to the SA offices after the event. They will be stored, and you can ask to use them at future events. If there is Event Grant money left that you did not use, it will return to the Event Grant fund.
