The New Mexico Tech men's rugby club concluded their autumn season in Las Cruces with a 45-7 loss to New Mexico State University. The Pygmies finished the first semester of the 2011-2011 campaign with a record of eight wins and nine losses. Six of their victories came in the ten-man version of the game. The New Mexico Brujos Rugby Club kept New Mexico Tech off the scoreboard for the first 25 minutes in Albuquerque Saturday on their way to a comfortable 41 - 19 decision. | 2011 - Tech Ruggers Open With Home Win |

It had been all practice and no live action for New Mexico Tech men's rugby club since the spring semester opened January 18. That changed Saturday as the Pygmies finally opened their weather-delayed season with a 33-21 win at home against downstate rival New Mexico State University. It was sweet revenge for Tech, who had taken a 39-6 battering in Las Cruces last October. Read more... |
