Which Ratman
is this Ratman?
When it came to choosing my account name in 1995,
I was currently enjoying the furry aspect of the game Warhammer. jtrowbri@nmt.edu
just seemed such a dull prospect. I didn't want to choose Skaven,
because I knew that there was another skaven out there (a member of Future
Crew). So, I chose Ratman.
Of course, I never knew that more people would know
me by that name (or as Rat) than my real one. That's okay by me,
but it's caused some confusion that needs to be cleared up.
There's another Ratman out there (rat@rat.org), and
he used to administer a very nice system with some
really cool services, including the furry archive,
the Squeeky Clean Furry Archive<. (The Squeeky Clean Furry
Archive has transmuted into Yerf!
and is being maintained by Sully, aka Scotty Arsenault.)
Meanwhile, my computer system is not located on the
internet. Instead, all my network and related software lies on the
computers at the New Mexico Tech in Socorro,
New Mexico. I do, however, have a news imageserver running
as an experiment in PERL. The newsgroups currently
supported are typically furry-related in some way.
