Spoiler Warning!

This is a timeline of events that my players have experienced.  I have been grabbing bits and pieces from the pregenerated adventures that come with the supplements, incorporating the elements with my own design.  The Rinaldi portion is almost straight from the book.  If you haven't yet played the Rinaldi adventure and intend to, do not read further!

Ahem.

Okay, beyond this point, you've officially screwed yerself.  Didn't your parents beat you for being stupid?

Timeline

This campaign started two years ago.  I didn't have the supplements then, and so many names are rather haphazardly placed, and don't properly reflect the culture which they supposedly originate from.  Also, my notes have become seriously disorganized.  Some names are missing, and I may have put a few events slightly out of order.  Finally, I was using several characters from the sidebars in the Ironclaw main book, but I've currently lent it out.  I will put their names in when I get the book back.

I've listed characters when they first appear.  They may or may not have any sort of importance when they are first introduced.

1. The party arrived at Tilden, a small town north of Triskellian.  Tilden lies at the border between Rinaldi and Doloreaux holdings, and the local lordlings don't get along too well.  After finishing their escort duties with a merchant, the players get hired to help keep order during the 3-day Harvest Festival.  Lots of games to play and people to meet.  Among the notable events are lost children, miscreant guards, a stolen body, and the introduction to La Fleaux.  Oh, yeah, some bandits gave the merchants coming to the fair some trouble.  The bandits' activities are disrupted by the party, but they flee before being brought to justice.  A strange, hooded figure tries to warn Cynder of something, but Cynder's too obtuse and quickly forgets the stranger.

On the last day of the fair, a strange Tarot card shows in the party's belongings.  Later, Cynder goes crazy during a boxing match, and beats an Avoidupois noble to within an inch of his life.  Because Cynder is also nobility (just dumb), he stands trial.  During the trial, it is discovered that he was poisoned just before the match began.  The party is allowed to leave, on the condition that they do not return.

Personages

Fabrizio de Rinaldi
Heir to the House Rinaldi.  Summoned back to Triskellian before the Festival starts.
La Fleaux

Duke Tenari
Nearby Avoirdupois nobility who gets thrashed by an enraged Cynder.
Addy and Dermis Perdul
Residents of Tilden, both craftsmen.  Addy is an exceptionally gifted painter, though unconfident and easily bullied.  Dermis is a good woodworker, and very protective of his brother.
Maude
Shrew apothecary, and all-around unpleasant person.  Old and cantankerous, and has no time for neer-do-wells.
Magistrate Umberto
Magistrate for the town of Tilden.
Elyssa
One of the children running through the fair.

2.  As the party prepares to leave, a messenger arrives with trouble.  The Don Fabrizio and his first-born murdered.  Fabrizio Rinaldi is missing, along with Jakoba Rinaldi.  The adventure proceeds very much as described by the Rinaldi book.  Matt is instructed to hide the connection of foul magics from the public.  Cynder goes mano-e-mano with Samalin the slaver and gets beat.  Samalin takes him as a slave, imprisoning Cynder in a cage on a wagon.

Bear uses a contact in the shipping guild to get some unsavory rat toughs to help.  The party comes to Cynder's rescue through disguise, sneak, and guile, pushing Samalin close enough for Cynder to grab him through the bars.  Another deal is battered out, and Samalin releases Cynder and Fabrizio.

Of course, a nasty twist awaits back in Triskellian.  The party slips into a slummy hostel to hide for the night, yet still run into the mysterious Recondite.

Fabrizio's illness is beyond the skills of the Church in Triskellian, but Maude is recommended.

Recondite
Rinaldi NPC
Samalin
Rinaldi NPC, a slaver
Targ, Snarky, Nali, Ferris
Rat toughs

3.  With a note from the Church in Triskellian, the party travels back to Tilden with the stricken Fabrizio.  Midway between Triskellian and Tilden, Bear and Matt investigate a distant, abandoned farm.  They find a nest of giant cockroaches, and the remains of a farmer and another occupant in bad shape.  As the victims were tied up, foul play was evident.

4.  A strange hostage setup occurs just north of the farm.  The bandits from Tilden are back, and their leader has a child from the fair as hostage.  Strangely, he professes that he never wanted this situation, and wants to deal with the party.  The party deals with extreme prejudice, and the other bandits quickly disperse after the death of their leader.  As the bandits flee, La Fleaux rides by in a carriage and tosses rotten fruit, booing the party.  The party resumes their trek to Tilden with Elyssa and the John Doe from the farmhouse in tow.

John Doe Strange victim from the farmhouse.  Mute.

5.  Another strange tarot card is discovered among the belonging of the party.  Addy instantly recognizes Fabrizio by his smell.  As Maude spends the night trying to cure Fabrizio, a band of assassins with murder on their minds raid the inn.  Most of the party are trapped by mage-locked doors, with only Ben's bat and Cynder able to hold off the murderers.  Cynder, suffering from a severe hangover, barrels through both friend and foe.  The remaining assassins commit suicide.  Ben manages to read the thoughts of the last assassin as he dies horribly.  The daggers carried by the assassins are cursed by dark magicks, and Matt quickly hides them from the party so he can dispose of them safely later.

In the morning, an exhausted Maude explains that she doesn't have the skill to help Fabrizio, but her old master might have the knowledge.  Unfortunately, he's practicing in Epinian, but Maude will take care of Fabrizio until their return.

The John Doe has had his tongue removed, and has a difficult time communicating with the party.  Addy is also leaving town--he's been commissioned to paint the ceiling of an Avoirdupois church, and he's excited to be leaving town.  Dermis is unhappy by the turn of events, as he won't be able to join his brother.

6.  Ben and Cynder see two Phelan enter the inn.  Of course, so do other townsfolk, who quickly leave to call the constabulary.  The Phelan drink, then leave.  Ben asks some questions, and the Pheln introduce themselves.  They explain that they are searching for some things stolen from their lands: a plain, cold sphere and a metal worm-threaded rod.  The rod is known as the Cual'Coloc.  Ben hasn't ever seen these items.

The townsfolk arrive with Cynder at their lead.  Tralnish blusters and the town militia moves to attack.  Augar Giolla Bram creates a rain of ice to discourage the townsfolk, and Bram mac Uatorn unleases the Riastradth.  The townsfolk scatter, along with Ben and Cynder.  There were no injuries, only a lot of hurt pride.

Augar Giolla Bram
Phelan traveler.
Bram mac Uatorn
Phelan traveler and atavist.

7.  Elyssa is re-united with her father, Tremaine, a cold minor noble from the Bisclavret territories.  Elyssa, her father, and their two wolf servants have business in Bruges, so the party decided to pair up with them.  The travel is fairly uneventful, although Cynder does get into some trouble when he picks his teeth with one of the cursed daggers.  Elyssa and her father part ways just south of Bruges.  Elyssa gave Cynder a necklace -- a figure of a dray hangs below it.

Tremaine
Minor noble from the Bisclavret territories.
Durk, Sylvia
Servants to Tremaine and Elyssa.

8.  A quick trip into Bruges results in an unexpected dinner party reservation.  Apparently, the friendly Lord Pascaline knew Jess's father.  Jess's father was as wild and unprincipled as Jess, and helped Pascaline with some difficult research affairs.  The other party members mingled with the guests, finding out there were rumors of trouble The feast commences with a speech on the history of the Doloreaux.

Before Jess leaves, Dedre and Pascaline ask if she would retrieve some books from a merchant in Epinian.  In return, Pascaline offers access to his library.

While waiting to join a caravan to Auriville, Jess hunts down a gang of ruffians.  Quickly earning their undivided attention, she has visions of starting an organized crime syndicate.

Cynder buys a lot of turnips.

Hilliam Luce

9.  With the caravan, the journey to Auriville is uneventful.  Auriville, though, is having trouble.  A freakish blizzard has kept the pass closed, and travel is very dangerous.  The general concensus is that the blizzard is not natural.  Nothing much is being done about it, though.  The mercenaries, normally escorting merchants through the pass, cause trouble and keep the local law enforcement busy.  The town leaders have been dealing with an encampment of Avoirdupois knights.  The merchants are complaining that they can't get through to anyone who'll listen.  Finally, several people from Epinian are simply stranded on the wrong side of the pass.

The party prepares for cold weather, and meets a Trovao, who lives in Epinian but has been stranded.  After getting by the tax collector, they all journey into the snow.

The bitter cold is held off through judicious use of resources.  A small avalanche in the pass is nearly fatal for Jess, Matt, Cynder, and the air elementalist.  Everyone survives, and the party limps into Epinian.  It's obvious that the blizzard is unnatural: the blizzard surrounds the entire city, blocking the port city from both land and sea.

Trovao
Porcupine air elementalist.
Burcet Warden
Tax collector at the Chevernaise pass.  He collects the 10% tax both coming and going.
Ocidas de Lyores

10.  In the city plaza, a lynch mob is forming.  The incensed citizens going to deal with the Heyfields.  The captain of the guard's wife is even helping whip the crowd into a frenzy.  The party avoids the mob as they stream from the plaza.  Bear confronts the captain of the guard about the morality of the mob, but loses in a dual to first blood.  The captain apologizes, but explains that tensions are quite high, and everyone feels that the Heyfields might have been responsible for the current plight of the city.

Apparently, the Heyfields had some sort of feud with a family of miners, the Chamoise.  Most of the time it was simply the occasional bar fight or cold shoulders, but the Chamoise started dying of a mysterious plague during the summer.  All the Chamoise are dead, except for Julie Chamoise who now lives with a local innkeeper.  Now the plague has spread to the city.

At this point, Jess decided that she didn't want to be in a plague-ridden city, and snuck off to find the merchant with Lord Pascaline's books.

The rest of the party went to the inn, where many victims were being treated.  Maude's old master, Nevwyn, was treating the rows of patients.  Matt observed Nevwyn magically healing the sick.  Nevwyn confided that magical healing was only temporary; the plague quickly returns.

Merrin

Nevwyn
Maude's old master of apothecary and the healing arts.
Julie Chamoise
Orphaned by the plague, adopted by a local inn-keeper.
