The 2001 Pan-American Conference on Research on Fluid Inclusions will be held at the Macey Center located on the campus of New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, New Mexico.

We organized a meeting of PACROFI after hearing that the originally scheduled Fall meeting was cancelled. We wanted to insure that PACROFI, which meets on alternate years to ECROFI, would continue. Hence, this meeting was planned quickly to take place well before the ECROFI meeting. Our goal is to make the meeting as convenient and low cost as possible. We invite you to attend and participate in this eighth meeting of PACROFI.

Socorro is located approximately 75 miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Three methods of transportation is available from Albuquerque International Airport.

Geology shuttle bus
Price per group is $30.00. If you would like to travel via geology shuttle bus, please send nblamey@nmt.edu the flight number, arrival time, and number people who will be riding so a convenient time can be arranged.

Rental car
Numerous national car rental agencies are available for those who prefer to drive themselves.
