L. A. Noire is not what someone would expect from a Rockstar game, considering it comes from the same minds that made games like Grand Theft Auto, Manhunt, and Red Dead Redemption. Those other games put the gamer into the shoes of a mob member, murderer, or outlaw, regularly having to out run or out maneuver the law in order to accomplish goals that could easily put a person in jail for multiple life sentences. L. A. Noire, on the other hand, has the gamer play as Cole Phelps, a war hero who comes back to civilian life as the only good cop in a city full of crime and corruption.
