Mission Statement Skeen Library provides access to information in multiple formats and sources to support the curriculum and research needs of New Mexico Tech students, faculty and staff. The Library collects and preserves materials that serve as the cultural and intellectual history of the University and the institutions and communities it serves. The Library anticipates change by teaching information skills as the basis for life-long learning and providing tools that enable its users to be technologically sophisticated and analytical consumers of information. Further, the Library participates broadly in the education, research, public service and economic development mission of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology as well as the larger communities of Socorro, New Mexico, and beyond.
