CARL-UnCover

UnCover, the article access database from the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries (CARL), contains records describing journals and thier contents. UnCover includes more than 15,000 titles with descriptions of over 5,000,000 articles published since fall, 1988. Articles can be retrieved individually or displayed in the table of contents for any given journal issue.

UnCover is especially useful for browsing and for identifying recent articles. It is faster and easier to use than manual indexes which must be searched by volume, subject by subject. It has the power to find words anywhere in a searchable field. Records entered in UnCover are taken directly from the tables of contents of journals held by CARL libraries. If the contents page includes summaries, those summaries appear in the UnCover record.

Use UnCover to:

-identify journal articles published since October 1988.

-do a multidisciplinary search using keywords.

-quickly search journal literature without looking through individual manual indexes.

-browse the contents of specific journals.

Articles in journals not in the New Mexico Tech periodicals list may be ordered through interlibrary loan. For even faster service follow the online instructions to have the article FAXed directly to you from CARL using your VISA or MasterCard. The minimum cost is $9.50 per article.
