Book and Article Delivery
for Distance Education Students

Books

Distance Education students may request book(s) owned by the NMT Library, through ILLiad, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request system. ILL will send the book(s) to the student's address free of charge. It is the student's responsibility to return the books to the library in the provided postage-paid package.

When you register in ILLiad, there are 4 categories that require unique answers from Distance users:

    1. NMT E-Mail Address: If you have a paid email service such as earthlink or aol, you may use that email address instead of your NMT e-mail address. Free email accounts such as yahoo and hotmail will NOT accept email messages from our ILL department.
    2. Campus Address (Box # or Dept.): Type the mailing address where we would send books.
    3. Status: choose Distance
    4. Department: choose either Distance Education Student or MST Student

If the NMT Library does NOT own the book, students can place an order through their local library's Interlibrary Loan Office.

Articles

Distance Education students may also order articles. For the quickest access, first check the LIBROS (Online Catalog) or the Electronic Journals list for journals electronically available from the NMT Library. Students can access articles from electronic journals directly by using the VPN Server with a valid TCC account.

If you cannot access the article electronically, request the article through LLiad, our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) request system. ILL will send the article electronically or mail the printed article to the student's address free of charge.
