Aditi Natesa

This is the first semester of the Aditi Natesa Belly Dance and Drums Club. We hope to spread interest and knowledge about the art of belly dance and related drumming through weekly meetings and our webpage.
One goal will be to hold one or two performances through the semester. The items listed in the budget are learning tools for dancers and drummers. The drum will be used by members that do not have access to their own drum to learn drumming methods. The videos will be an instructional tool for new styles of dance for students interested in learning this dance. The video will be necessary for members who have not been exposed to the classes being provided at Tech. This applies to the finger cymbal video as well because finger cymbals are not part of the belly dance class curriculum.
The finger cymbals will be used for members that do not own their own cymbals. Some members are interested in other props like veils and sword balancing. Therefore, 2 veils would be useful to members that do not wish to make their own. Also, a scimtar (balancing sword) for members that may be interested in sword balancing, but would like to practice on one before purchasing a sword of their own.
To spread interest in our group we would request a TCC account that allows others to view our website and contact us. Also, we request funding for copies on the SA copy machine.
