The Denton Vacuum model 502 vacuum evaporator is a versatile vacuum evaporation system capable of a variety of evaporation tasks. The three electrode pairs within the 12" bell jar allow sequential evaporation from three different sources without breaking vacuum. Most materials can be evaporated, including carbon (using the carbon rod evaporation assembly), platinum, gold (evaporated from a tungsten filament or basket), or low melting-point materials (evaporated from tungsten or molybdenum boats). The DV-502 is located in the HP building, in the parking lot NW of Jones Hall. |
