Class Information & Resources
Information on the final exam - The final exam will take place Friday August 7 in our usual classroom. The test will start at 9am, so you will have a full 2 1/2 hours to complete the test. You may bring a calculator and 3 notecards (I would suggest reusing your previous notecards and making a new one for chapters 13,14,16,17). Study your homework, past tests and practice tests and review problems. If you are one of the few people who have a conflict on Friday, the alternate test time is Thursday August 6 starting at 2pm. Come to my office a few minutes before 2pm. You may only take the test on Thursday if you have a demonstrated conflict with the Friday time.
Here are the questions for the first two tests if you need those for studying. Test 1, Test 2. As well as the answers to the final practice questions

If you need help, check my office or my lab (Workman 323 and 362 respectively). I also check email several times throughout the day, including at least once in the evening → lschmidt@nmt.edu.
Class lectures are MTWRF from 10:00-11:30am in Workman room 113. Due to the compressed schedule of the summer semester we will be moving rather quickly through the material, so attendance is highly recommended.
If you are having trouble with physics, this may help - How to Study PhysicsRigchard Feynman was a Nobel prize winning physicist. Bill Gates recently purchased the rights to a series of lectures he did at Cornell University. They cover a lot of the same subject matter we are covering. I highly recommend watching these videos. Feynman was known for his engaging and insightful lectures. If you find yourself struggling with these concepts, these videos will help. "The Character of Physical Law" - Richard Feynman
Hyperphysics has a lot of good overviews of basic physics concepts. A good place to check for a quick review.
Fantastic Contraption is a good way to waste time.
