Messier Image List
Messier Image List
March 7, 2008
The mission at hand... To gather images of all 110 Messier objects in one night.
Taken with an SBig ST10 on a Takahashi FS152.
Did I make it? Not quite, 93/110 items for 84.5%. Some of the images have soft focus as I ran into some trouble
with focuser travel. I quit imaging around 6:00am, having taken my first image around 7:00pm the previous night for 11 straight
hours of imaging. High thin clouds came in a little before 6:00am, you can see these in my last image, m57. I don't know
that any of these images will win an award, but I had fun doing it, and maybe next year I'll get them all.
Update June 13, 2008 - Due to the focusing issues, I have decided to gradually update images with new versions that
have better focus as I have time to go out to the observatory.
