KTEK is the radio station of New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, NM. We are 100% student run and programmed.
The KTEK office is in the SAC, upstairs in room 219. The KTEK studio is next door in room 217.
KTEK broadcasts 24/7, year long. At times when no DJ is available, pre-programmed music plays to ensure a steady stream of music.
KTEK is run by Brad Smith (General Manager), Patrick Leahy (Music Director). Any questions regarding the station can be sent to one or both of us.
Want to be a DJ? Email ktek@nmt.edu to set up a training time. Training normally takes an hour or less, and is all you need to be on the radio.
KTEK radio is always running. Look here for how you can listen in. We also transmit on 88.7FM (on campus in the cable system) and 1670 AM (on air for most of Socorro) under Part 15 FCC rules.
