I just installed MainActor-3.5.5 for Linux on the following...

PentiumIII/667, Slackware-7.0 Linux-2.2.16, Hauppauge WinTV(BT878),
bttv-0.7.32 Xfree86-3.3.6 XF86_SVGA, Matrox Millenium G400, Adaptec
29160, IBM 10,000rpm 36Gig 4MB cache Ultra160, Creative Labs
AWE64-Gold.

 - If I convert an AVI to an MPEG-I w/NTSC codec using mave, mave
   will not be able to play it.  It completely locks up the computer
   if I try.  plaympeg (with SDL library from lokigames.com) plays
   the mpegs just fine.

I really do not have an idea. Anway, i will forwward this to our programmers who
should have a look at it.

This is to notify you that a bug with MainActor exists unchainged
in the 3.7.4 release.  The bug is if I convert an AVI to an MPEG-I w/NTSC
codec using mave, mave will not be able to play it.  In fact, if I try
it completely locks up my machine.  Even alt-sysreq-b doesn't work.
