From kscott@nmt.edu Sat Sep 16 18:30:07 2000 Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2000 18:30:07 -0600 From: K Scott Rowe To: support@mainconcept.de Subject: MainActor-3.5.5 Linux I just installed MainActor-3.5.5 for Linux on the following... PentiumIII/667, Slackware-7.0 Linux-2.2.16, Hauppauge WinTV(BT878), bttv-0.7.32 Xfree86-3.3.6 XF86_SVGA, Matrox Millenium G400, Adaptec 29160, IBM 10,000rpm 36Gig 4MB cache Ultra160, Creative Labs AWE64-Gold. - maseq will not sync audio and video. no matter what settings I give it. however, mave will sync audio and video on the same clip. If mave can do it, why cant maseq? The sound starts right away, then the video starts about 2 seconds later. Then about 4 seconds in, the sound cuts out for about 0.5 seconds. This is on a 6 second avi captured with Macap. If I play just sound, it starts right away, and the timeline line follows as it should. The same goes for just video. It only fails when I play Audio and Video. The problem I was having with the audio and video not syncing properly outlined here... http://www.nmt.edu/~kscott/video/mainactor/bugs/reported/audio_video_sync seems to have been resolved with the 3.6 version. I'll send more experiences in a bit.
