This is the first of three new? bugs I have found with MainActor-3.5.5. I have a complete list of problems I have discovered at http://www.nmt.edu/~kscott/video/mainactor/bugs/. This first one is a response to one I already submitted. With a simple AVI file and the "Timeline Player" is set to play "Audio and Video", both video and audio plays. But with the same AVI file with the "Timeline Player" set to play "Audio Only", I get an error "Audio device is busy" when I try to play. In both cases, according to lsof, no processes have the dsp file open before playing. And no other audio related programs are running. The problem was that if I select "Audio Only" from the "Timeline Player", I get a "MainActor Sequencer Warning" saying "Audio device is busy!" I can no longer reproduce this error with the new version. I did once see the "Audio device is busy!" error occure with the 3.7.4 release, but it had nothing to do with selecting the Audio/Video source. Therefore, I would consider this problem solved. If I can find another way to reproduce this error, I'll let you know. my notes for this can be found at http://www.nmt.edu/~kscott/video/mainactor/bugs/closed/audio_only thanx
