Repo! The Genetic Opera: Graverobber

Hair

I believe Terrance Zdunich probably died his own hair. Hair extensions, like those from hairextensions.com, are much more practical although I prefer the extensions form Hot Topic. Tie back the crown of hair into a high ponytail. This is where you can attach many of the extensions. The rest of the hair should hang free. [1]

Makeup

Foundation: Get some white make up from a costume store. He looks more pale than clown-like, so I'd recommend the palest flesh color someone like Ben Nye would sell from a costume store. You want to look washed out and pale, instead of looking like you should have a big red nose.

Eyes: Line with black eye-liner, thickly, and on top and on bottom. You can add some dark gray or black eyeshadow to the top lid if you want, but do NOT go far above the lashes at ALL. Additionally, you should use a gray eyeshadow from the inside corner of the eye up along the outer bridge of the nose to the eyebrow. Black mascara's also doable, but GR doesn't have emphasized lashes.

Lips: Get a dark purple or very very dark red lipstick. It's important to note that his lipstick IS NOT BLACK.

Coat

Coat: Brown, worn-leather looking, long trenchcoat or duster. Wide lapels and a small collar. Looks like it may be pleated at the waist. It may also have outer pockets. I have found that the cowboy duster made by Smiffy's looks good and is fairly cheap. The original was apparently made out of brown upholstery fabric and fun fur. [2]

Lapels: Go to a fabric store and find some red fuzzy fabric.. if you get just a yard or so, it should be fine. Cut the square of fabric down the middle to make two triangles of fabric. Pin or sew these to the lapels of your coat (the fur doesn't, in fact, go over the neck) and then cut the excess down a bit. The red fuzzy lapels are CRAZY broad, though, so don't trim them out at the corners. They should go out to near your shoulders. distinctivefabric.com This looks like it might be better bartain traders

Clothes

Undershirt: mottled navy deep v short sleeve t-shirt from American Apparel. [3]

Overshirt: Mustard colored long-sleeved tunic-style shirt, unbuttoned lower than the vest. [2]

Pants: Dark grey cotton, jean cut and stuffed into the boots and extra panel of fabris sewn onto knees. There are also two chains that go from the front belt loops either into pockets or back belt loops. They don't hang that low. [2] [5]

Boots:Knee high with seven buckles that go from the inside to the outside of the leg to the out. Look to me like REAPER-30 from Demonia. [6]

Gloves: Gauntlet-style metal-armored motorcycle gloves with wrist velcro. They do read RACE on the back of the wrist metal and the palms are quilted into triangles. [3]

Zydrate Gun:

See My instructions for making a zydrate gun.

Accessories

Bag: It's a toolkit that unfolds holding syringes and other graverobbing equipment. It was custom made but you may be able to adjust a messenger or document bag. It attaches in front with a panic snap. [8]

Holster: He has a Zydrate-gun holster slung low on his left leg made from brown leather like a tactical or quick-draw rig. It was wet-molded by Adam Smith. [9]

Zydrate Holder: a.k.a. Bandoleer. Black leather, worn over left shoulder and accross body. Holds one or two vials of Zydrate. Might be a modified version of US Military Police Sam Brown sling.

Scarf: "It's looped around the neck once then tied mid-upper chest. The scarf dangles down to his knees. It is actually just a piece of cheesecloth dyed mottled navy blue." [9]

Belts: He wears two: [11]

  • Black lether with a double-pronged buckle and many wallet chains hooked into the belt holes.
  • Black leather, attached in the front is a silver, horned demon skull. TZ has cited this as his tribute to Danzig.

Buckle: Look for Danzig Kiss Skull belt buckle.

Zydrate: Use 4 inch blue glow sticks like these from Sure Glow.

    Zydrate Syringe:

Monocle: It looks to me like a Marc Jacobs Monocle Glass Necklace or Alchemy Gothic D'duke's Steampunk Monocle because of its long handle. It's either or in silver or gold, hard to tell because of the lighting.

Knee Pad: Right knee, black sports knee pad, not plastic. [2]
