post-race, Los Alamos Triathlon, August 2005

St. Croix, USVI

When I’m not in the classroom or behind my computer, I try to take advantage of New Mexico’s amazing weather and scenery. I enjoy (?) beating myself up on New Mexico Tech’s very own golf course, and I’m just waiting for the day when I can finish a round with a scorecard worth keeping.

My husband and I have a penchant for low-riders (of the canine variety), and we can often be spotted walking across the Tech campus with our hounds in tow.

In November 2005 I joined thousands of people across the country who thought it might be fun to try to write a novel (defined as 50,000 words of original fiction) in 30 days. With two days to spare I succeeded, and I hope to revise my novel Goodbye Doctor for possible publication in the future. To learn more about National Novel Writing Month, go to www.nanowrimo.org
