Checklist:
Things to remeber:
Get a copy of your syllabus along, as sometimes you may end up having prerequisites
and you could waive it by proving you have covered such topics as usually the
course requirements maybe covered by parts in the courses we do.
You require your provisional or degree completion certificate (sometimes they do
not accept a provisional from some universities), which has to be submitted at
the graduate college. So if you happen to come her as soon as you graduate apply
for it.
Learn to drive car. If already know then it is better and bring driving licence
along with you.If you could you can try for a International Driving Permit.
 |
Contact you doctor for medical checkup. If you are going under treatment then
consult your doctor for prescriptions. Bring your medicines along with you, here
they are very costly. If you are having dental problem get it treated in India.
Remember here price for medical treatment is very high. |
| Dental checkup, go for it atleast a 15 days in advance to avoid last moment confusions
A TB test is also advisable as if they ask you to get one done here, it is also expensive
and not only that their tests are sensitive and usually we Indians test positive for it. |
 |
Eye sight check up. Test your sight from doctor and bring your vision report with you.
If you have problem with sight and you are wearing eyeglass then bring 2 spare eyeglas
as they are usually expensive here. (Not more just USD 70-100.. Just Kidding) |

months. Consult your doctor on all this. However these things are not much
necessary here at New Mexico but still it is better to get yorself tested before coming here
Medicines are pretty costly here. Do get some medicines from home as mentioned above,
especially if you have some known problem. Get proper prescription for those
medicines you bring along. Its very important as you might be asked at the
