6) Talking With Kids: Violence Great guide on talking with students about violence, sex drugs, and alcohol. Very good resources on talking with children, which I think is one of the most important areas in violence prevention.
7) Mothers Against Violence in America Under the section "Want to do something about Violence in Schools" there are guidelines for educators along with "teachable moment" lesson plans along with a nice handout named "Working Together to Create Safe Schools."
8) School District of Philadelphia - Family Resource Network In this site, there is information on how to improve a student's daily attendance at school (for smaller children). Also, there is a nice section on how to ensure the health of the students as well as how to increase family and community involvement in the work of the schools. There is also a great section on how to improve school safety which consists of a great school safety response program which could be used as an outline. There are some very good resources for keeping schools safe, as well as a section on behavioral health (mental health).
