6) National PTA | Violence Kids Crisis | What Can You Do Resources on how parents can communicate with the children and prevent violence. Very good page for parents to interact with their child and information on what parents can do to prevent violence on a bigger scale. Nice page.
7) Talking With Kids: Violence Great guide on talking with students about violence, sex drugs, and alcohol. Very good resources on talking with children, which I think is one of the most important areas in violence prevention.
8) School District of Philadelphia - Family Resource Network In this site, there is information on how to improve a student's daily attendance at school (for smaller children). Also, there is a nice section on how to ensure the health of the students as well as how to increase family and community involvement in the work of the schools. There is also a great section on how to improve school safety which consists of a great school safety response program which could be used as an outline. There are some very good resources for keeping schools safe, as well as a section on behavioral health (mental health).
